Kirstin Prince
​
Kirstin is the owner and operator of Prince Equestrian Sports, LLC located in Hilliard, FL. Kirstin grew up riding at her parent’s small boarding and lesson facility, Ki-lin Stables in Yulee, FL. She started competing in Dressage in 2002 at the age of 10 and started Eventing at the age of 14. Kirstin qualified and attended 5 Great American Insurance Group USDF Regional Championships from 2008 – 2013 in Training, First, Second and Third Level Dressage with three different horses. She has earned the Training level and First level rider performance awards and the USDF Bronze medal.

Kirstin has been teaching since 2008 and enjoys being able to share the knowledge she has gained over the years from hands-on experience growing up at a boarding / lesson facility. She took many lessons from multiple accomplished instructors throughout Florida and in 2010 was a working student for Michael Poulin in DeLand, FL (a 1992 team bronze-medal-winning Olympian) where she expanded her education.

After attending Florida State College at Jacksonville, graduating in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Kirstin established Prince Equestrian Sports, LLC. She began teaching lessons and training horses full-time. During this time Kirstin began schooling and competing at Fourth Level Dressage.

Kirstin considers like many things in life, the foundation is the key to success. Every horse and rider benefits from a Classical Dressage base and she works to prepare students for whatever discipline they wish to follow. Focus is placed on the biomechanics of horse and rider to create a rider that is easier for the horse to carry and a horse that is enjoyable for the rider to ride.
Alayia Maxwell
Alayia was lucky enough to spend ages 6 through 18 learning from Gerard Kirsch, twice selected for the French Olympic Event Team; and although she was most interested in Eventing, Gerard enforced a Classical Dressage foundation and encouraged her to compete at Dressage shows while pursuing Eventing to create not only a well-rounded horse, but a well-rounded rider.

In 2005, she was awarded 3rd place at the USEA Region 3 Area Championships at Novice level. She spent the next two years moving up to and competing at Training level. After the USEA Regional Championships in 2007, she decided to refocus on Classical Dressage and in 2009 qualified for the Great American Insurance Group USDF Regional Championships at 3rd level with her Thoroughbred, Fozzie. They sadly were unable to attend as her freshman term at UF started in the Summer that year.

In Alayia's freshman year at UF, she joined the IDA team and earned her place as one of the teams' First Level riders. The team qualified for National Championships and she competed as the team's individual First Level rider earning 8th place against some of the best college riders in the country. During the rest of her time at UF, Alayia was locally competitive in both Dressage, where she continued showing from 3rd to 4th level while training PSG at home, as well as Hunter/ Jumper shows where she moved up from the .95m to 1.10m in the Jumper ring.

After graduating from college and moving to Jacksonville in 2013, Alayia was able to follow her true passion and began teaching at a Hunter/ Jumper barn where she attained a deep knowledge of both Hunters and Equitation. This knowledge has allowed Alayia the capability of training Hunter, Jumper and Equitation riders how to get the most out of their course work through the lens of promoting correct flatwork in a similar fashion that the Dressage rider might learn effectiveness.
She has also assisted with the running and execution of the local IEA and IHSA home shows throughout 2014-2019 and has also played a part in helping to train students on both the IEA and IHSA teams

Alayia's teaching method is predominantly based in Classical Dressage and believes that a correct and fundamental base is the most important building block for every rider whether they have aspirations to jump, ride Dressage or Event. Her teaching method displays a methodical approach to Rider Biomechanics and how they influence all aspects of riding while maintaining a goal-oriented approach to each horse and rider pair. She loves being able to impart knowledge and work through complicated problems with her students. Alayia also makes it a point to continue educating herself to attain a well-rounded education.
